Operational Structure

NSI-ESHER is structured in accordance with 3 modules:

  • MODUL 1: is comprised of two integrated laboratories, uniting the eleven acting partner’s labs functioning in unison:
    • Integrated Laboratory Research and testing of batteries for energy storage
    • Integrated Laboratory Hydrogen energy with RES
  • MODUL 2: includes high-tech infrastructure platforms aiming to create an appropriate research base for innovative developments in cooperation with industry for the introduction and operation of energy storage systems and hydrogen technologies. Two technological platforms are under construction:
    • Platform for technological development of batteries and fuel/electrolysis cells and stacks – design and building up of experimental infrastructure for research, development and testing of a new generation of cells and stacks for fuel cells, electrolyzers and batteries
    • Platform for injection of hydrogen into the natural gas grid - construction of scientific research and experimental infrastructure for introduction of methane-hydrogen mixtures in industry, transport and household
